ActiveCampaign is the most popular email marketing tool in the world. However, we know that many people have questions about the best email marketing software for their business. This article will help you compare ActiveCampaign and GetResponse, and explain what makes them different.

ActiveCampaign Vs. GetResponse

ActiveCampaign is an email marketing software company, as are GetResponse and GetResponse. Although they share similar roots, their products have evolved to be very different over time.

ActiveCampaign is relatively new compared to other email marketing tools available today. It was started by Jordan Kretchmer and Jonathan Nadelman, both former marketers at MailChimp.

It has been a popular email marketing solution on the market since its inception. This is especially true for businesses using HTML-based emails such as Shopify or WordPress websites.

Active Campaign used to own GetResponse, but they have now separated. GetResponse is a well-known email marketing software company that has been around for more than 20 years. It’s not surprising that there are many similarities between the products.

This comparison article will focus on ActiveCampaign and GetResponse. It will be based on four metrics: Pricing, Features, Customer Support, Integrations, and Customer Support.

ActiveCampaign or GetResponse? Which one offers more Email Marketing Features?

Both ActiveCampaign, as well as GetResponse, have very similar features. It’s not surprising that both of them are email marketing software providers, so it shouldn’t surprise you. The number of features offered by these products is vastly different.

Active Campaign has over 300+ pre-built templates. Active Campaign also includes a suite of tools that will help you send automated email messages (such as Lead Nurturing). This allows you to segment your list more effectively and create targeted campaigns based on your customer’s past interactions with specific pages or content on your website.

GetResponse has fewer features than ActiveCampaign, but it offers a few more things. They also have an email marketing tool called GetEngage, which has been in use since 2008.

Although it’s not as powerful and flexible as Active Campaign’s Lead Nurturing system, it gives you full control over the messages that are sent to your subscribers. This is crucial if you don’t want to spam your subscribers or send them inappropriate emails. We will discuss this more in the comparison.

Top Advantages of Active Campaign:

  1. Active Campaign offers a large number of pre-built templates that make it easy to create email campaigns quickly. These templates can be reused over and over, so there’s no need to learn how to create new campaigns. You can also customize them to give you more control over your emails.
  2. You can make the buttons larger or smaller, with different sizes. This is easier for mobile devices.
  3. If necessary, display additional information such as a phone number or address on the button text
  4. Active Campaign allows you to insert images and videos into your emails. This is especially useful if the email contains a promotional image or your logo.

What are the Disadvantages of Active Campaigns?

  1. If you do not sign up for their free plan, Active Campaign will cost more than Lead Nurturing Software.
  2. Active Campaign offers many unnecessary features. These features are not necessary, but you’re paying for them because someone else wants them. If they do, it will become tedious to manage your email marketing campaigns. It’s almost like buying an old car that has all the options, just to be able to say “I drove this before!” Active Campaign would charge me a lot more than I do because I don’t need those extras.
  3. Active Campaign does not offer a mobile application, which is one of the most important benefits of choosing an email marketing tool. It makes it easier to create and manage emails on your smartphone/tablet.

GetResponse Features

  1. GetResponse costs less than Active Campaign. While it is more expensive and offers many of the same customizations as Active Campaign, they also provide some additional important features.
  2. GetResponse has an app you can download to your tablet or smartphone to access your emails anywhere, anytime.
  3. Active Campaign has more options than GetResponse when it comes to customizing email templates. Most people don’t require these additional features. Make sure you only purchase Get Response if you need the tools you use.
  4. GetResponse has a mobile app that makes it easy to create emails from your smartphone/tablet. You don’t need to log into their dashboard or click around to download templates from elsewhere (such as Active Campaign). If I had to choose between these two options, GetResponse would win because they have more features and are less expensive than Active Campaign.

GetResponse has a disadvantage in that it doesn’t offer as many options for customizing templates. You will need to use another tool if you need advanced features such as CSS, Javascript, or HTML mail merge.

GetResponse has a downside. They aren’t as customizable as Active Campaign. This means that the layout and design cannot be modified without changing your theme. This can make it more difficult for non-coders.

GetResponse offers a mobile app. However, I recommend MailChimp’s iOS App. It allows you to view all your emails in one place. It costs $5/month.

ActiveCampaign vs GetResponse: Pricing

Active Campaign has multiple plans that start at $19/month. This allows you to send 100 emails per month and is best for small businesses that only send 1-3 email campaigns per month.

GetResponse’s starter plan is very affordable at $9/mo. This allows you to create unlimited emails and set your templates. It’s ideal for those who want more customization options and greater control over their email campaigns.

I love the price comparison between Active Campaign and GetResponse. GetResponse offers a free plan with limited options. After that, you can upgrade your account to send more emails (and include additional features).

ActiveCampaign Vs. GetResponse Customer Support

Both services provide 24/7 customer support via email and live chat. It doesn’t matter if they are owned by different companies. This makes it less frustrating for small businesses.

GetResponse offers superior customer service to Active Campaign. Active Campaign has long hold times and can be difficult to reach.

ActiveCampaign Vs. GetResponse: Integrations

Active Campaign is built using WordPress. WordPress has many great features that surpass GetResponse. ActiveCampaign comes pre-installed and includes custom fields, templates, and apps. This makes it look professional and amazing compared to MailChimp and GetResponse which offer fewer customization options at a lower price.

The main differences between these companies are their pricing structures and plans. Active Campaign is slightly more expensive, but GetResponse has fewer features.

The only advantage to using an app from another company on your site is if they use their plugin, then all emails will be sent through that plugin (just an option). ActiveCampaign has more integrations than GetResponse.

Deliverability is a significant issue. So which tool does it better

Both are comparable in terms of their delivery times. However, I find ActiveCampaign much more efficient as you can adjust your settings to have them sent out within a few days.

GetResponse provides better customer support because they understand how important it is to deliver emails quickly. You can also send out test emails and get an estimate of how long it takes to deliver them.

ActiveCampaign’s “Pulse”, a feature of ActiveCampaign, allows you to access an email tracking system that tracks your emails from the moment they leave your server up until delivery. This is a great tool, especially for people with limited resources.

Plus, there are other ways to deliver via their platform if you need:

Mailchimp and GetResponse have integrations that allow email marketing tools such as Mailchimp and GetResponse to connect with other applications. This means emails are sent automatically, but they don’t allow you to send custom messaging. (This is why I prefer this option).

The default one.

You can log in to your account to send emails directly from your customers if you use an email marketing service in Phoenix like Zoho Manage.

ActiveCampaign is a better choice for me as an e-commerce site owner. They have many integrations with other tools which makes it easier to integrate all aspects of my business without having to struggle with getting emails out quickly, especially with competitors.

Conversion Funnels:

A second thing that I want to mention is the possibility of receiving emails from an online e-commerce site in copy-and-paste format. This means that your email content will not change. It can cause unneeded strain on customer service if this happens to your email marketing software.

This is a bad thing, as most businesses want customers to be satisfied. However, we need to consider how hard it takes for them to answer our calls or resolve any issues as fast as possible (to sell more products).

Segmentation: Which tool is better?

ActiveCampaign’s Segmentation feature is unique. It allows you to segment emails based on their content, not just by account type or device.

This feature can help you make fewer human errors and provide better customer service. MixMax marketing automation makes it a little more difficult to know which emails convert the most. There is no way to tell if customers are interested in your products. Instead, they track clicks and opens to see if anyone clicked through.

Mixmax is a great tool to increase conversion rates. But if you need to track every email and segment based on content, ActiveCampaign is the best choice.

Some things could be improved in this comparison, like the pricing of their plans. MixMax has more advanced features, while Active Campaign is less expensive. They’re both fantastic tools. It all depends on the type of eCommerce website you have.

ActiveCampaign and GetResponse: Conclusion

Both Active Campaign and Get Response can be used to automate email marketing for small-to-medium businesses. I believe the key differences are their pricing and how they segment emails. Active Campaign is better for content based on individual email addresses, while Get Response is more general.

Regardless of which one you choose, you can’t go wrong.
