Many eCommerce businesses and bloggers now use email marketing software platforms to send out their emails. These platforms let you create campaigns, send out emails, and track your results. Here is a comparison of the most popular email marketing platforms, GetResponse and ConvertKit.

ConvertKit vs GetResponse: Introduction

This comparison will help you choose the right email marketing platform for your eCommerce company. This article does not cover all the benefits offered by each service provider.

ConvertKit is more limited than GetResponse, while ConvertKit offers many more features than GetResponse. conversion kit however has a greater number of limitations. Their tracking capabilities are the biggest difference between the two platforms. You can monitor everything from opens, clicks, unsubscribes/unsubscribe rates, and so on with both services.

ConvertKit vs GetResponse: Features

GetResponse has been voted the best email marketing platform worldwide. These are the benefits of GetResponse.

  1. There are many templates to choose from.
  2. Some integrated apps are available for social media management and customer support (for communication between customers).
  3. Integrated with Google Analytics, you will be able to track your results using that tool.
  4. You can easily edit any image using the intuitive drag-and-drop editor.
  5. Supports A/B Testing, which allows you to test different versions and variations of your email campaigns.
  6. It also has a web app that allows you to create content and collaborate with others in the same company.

ConvertKit offers the following features:

  1. ConvertKit allows you to send emails using an easy interface. It requires no technical knowledge. You can log in to your Yahoo or Gmail account and ensure that it is properly configured. This can be done via their dedicated help center.
  2. There are many templates available, making it simple for those who don’t have much experience in writing eCommerce emails.
  3. Based on data analysis tools like Hotjar analytics and Google Analytics, creates A/B testing automatically. There are three types of A/B tests: “Simple”, “Advanced” and “Custom”.
  4. Integrating with Google Analytics allows you to track the results from your email marketing campaigns using this tool.
  5. A web application that allows you to create content, collaborate with others in the same company and manage customer support via form integration. Ecommerce companies often have customers who require help.

ConvertKit vs GetResponse: Automation Features

ConvertKit and GetResponse have similar automation capabilities. Both tools can import subscribers and export contacts, create users in their platform (and manually send newsletters), schedule autoresponders, and more.

There is another thing that sets these tools apart: the way they interact with other services to make them work correctly.

ConvertKit allows you to add your email list to an existing system like Gmail or Google Apps, while GetResponse requires that you use a specific mailing tool.

This means that you can’t use both systems simultaneously (although it is possible, given the GetResponse mail tool is very powerful), but you need to ensure that ConvertKit has properly configured your account.

Pricing Plans

Each tool offers a variety of pricing plans. However, they can be divided according to the level of automation and services included. There are three types of basic plans: “Basic”, “Small” and “Lite”. Prices vary depending on the plan you choose. Although they may seem small, there is one significant difference.

Convertkit offers a free plan. You get 5,000 subscribers per paid account. Getresponse can also be used for free, but it has limited features and you can only send emails to one person per email address. It can be expensive to recover from server failures or unexpected maintenance.

The monthly cost for both services is $10 per month (3% discount rate). This is reasonable considering their functionality, ease of use, and affordability.

GetResponse vs ConvertKit: Tagging & Segmentation Comparison

GetResponse allows you to segment your subscribers. You can group them into different categories and assign different messages to each one. This feature is especially useful if you want to increase your response rate by sending specific messages at specific times. This is how Getresponse works.

  • ConvertKit allows you to create groups that can either be “all” (or “one per”)
  • Multiple tags can be created that only apply to an individual’s email address. This is a great feature that allows you to create segments for specific groups of subscribers.

What about Analytics?

While both tools provide an analytics dashboard, Getresponse is the best! Convertkit doesn’t offer as much detail as Getresponse, but they provide more detailed analysis and reporting. This includes bounce rates by country and other useful information like segment data.

It’s possible to have too much information at your fingertips. They should offer unlimited reports, or something similar, instead of 5 reports per day. We have noticed a similarity in their analytics departments with both of these services.

We noticed, for example, that Getresponse had converted some of our subscribers to paid status after tracking the conversions and emailing us. This was interesting because it wasn’t possible with any other service.

ConvertKit vs GetResponse: Workflow

Convertkit’s workflow is intuitive and much easier to use, especially for managing email campaigns. You can add subscribers to the Convertkit interface by clicking on “+ Subscriber”, without having to use a drop-down menu.

ConvertKit also offers a simple HTML/CSS editor, which we love – something that was missing in Getresponse!

We will now look at both the pricing and features of each service: Getresponse Convertkit free trial 15 days 30 days $20/month. This can be paid monthly or annually.

Conversion Rate Upsell campaigns Yes No Email Templates HTML and CSS are all allowed. You can get 50% off your entire life! Unlimited Aweber templates (two per month) that include upselling, remarketing, and autoresponder. How subscribers have been converted is tracked via email. Weekly generated reports are sent by the date of conversion.

Sent daily via the Analytics dashboard on your site Can track leads directly through the landing page in Clickfunnels Only for the paid account

GetResponse vs ConvertKit: Conversion Funnels

Both services have very similar conversion funnels. GetResponse offers the following (with minor differences) – Email Opt-in 6 different types (free trial).

  • Try it Free of Charge
  • Based on a monthly recurring fee
  • Based on a yearly subscription
  • Monthly recurring payment
  • Quarterly recurring payments
  • Subscribe to the Aweber Autoresponder Newsletter

Emails can be divided by type of email and subscribed customers. This feature can be used to send campaigns to your subscribers at certain times. It can also be used to send separate campaigns depending on when visitors arrive.

ConvertKit vs GetResponse: Lead Capture Page and Campaign Templates

Although both services provide similar templates and conversion funnels there are some differences.

GetResponse allows you to create templates for lead capture pages or campaigns. Convertkit comes with four campaign templates. However, if you have more than 20k subscribers per month, they will offer advanced templates such as video ads.

Both services allow you to create fully customized landing pages and funnels that are based on your conversion rates and conversions. This allows you to send specific pages or emails within these funnels at a later time depending on the actions of previous visitors (similarly to how Google does things).

There is a difference between them. GetResponse lets you upload more images and create your page by hand, while Convertkit allows you to use a predesigned template with customizable options.

ConvertKit vs GetResponse: Analytics & Tracking tools

Both services offer many tools to track conversions (both leads as well as email subscribers). The main difference is that they don’t offer advanced analytics such as conversion funnels and eCommerce links in their free plans.

Getresponse, for example, doesn’t permit users with paid plans to view the “webinar” reports. These reports are extremely useful in looking at how people interact and react to your video or webinar.

Convertkit provides an “analytics” tool that is not to be confused with the analytics on their paid plans. However, it allows you to see your subscriber’s actions in one email per month. You can then view a list of emails in a clickable format to see who opened each email.

ConvertKit Vs GetResponse: Marketing Tools & Integrations

GetResponse does not have any built-in marketing tools. They do however allow you to connect with your favorite social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest.

You can also import subscriber information from other services like MailChimp directly into their system. This means that if someone signs up through another service, it will automatically be added to Getresponse. This is called “track-to”.

Convertkit offers several ways to import your email lists such as Mailchimp and Aweber. However, unlike GetResponse they do not provide an option for people who sign-up through your website to automatically be added to Convertkit.

ConvertKit, in our opinion, is a better email marketing tool than GetResponse and has some amazing features that are not offered by GetResponse.

ConvertKit’s support is another reason we prefer it to its rival platform. While both offer chat, ConvertKit only has a phone number that you can call. This means you can get immediate help when you need it. We love the amount of information that they give about subscribers, such as their business information and social profiles.

The question is: Which one should I choose?

ConvertKit is best for businesses with more than a few subscribers. GetResponse is a better option for small businesses or those that are just starting, especially if you have a lot of traffic from Facebook.

If you are looking for the best of both worlds and an email marketing service in Miami that offers both, we recommend this one. This is a great platform for growing your business!
