We’ll be breaking up seven video hosting sites, some of which don’t require introductions and others that might surprise you.

2. YouTube

Let’s begin with the most well-known host. YouTube may not be the biggest online video platform. YouTube is the most popular search engine in the world. YouTube has greater exposure than other platforms. YouTube hosts over 300 hours per minute of video. YouTube offers many great features including statistics that track the success of your videos, an ad platform to help you make money off your content, and access to a vast music library to enhance your videos. YouTube lets you upload your content free of charge. YouTube allows you to upload your content for free.

Plans – Creators don’t have any premium plans. YouTube Premium was previously YouTube Red. It is now available only to the viewer.

3. Vimeo

The name “YouTuber” will make you laugh. Vimeo claims that it caters to creative professionals. Vimeo is also a social network site. However, there are many differences between the two. These plans have more storage and other features. You can still check out the free version, but it has very limited functionality.

Pros:

  • Considered “more important than YouTube”
  • A network of professionals
  • One of the most flexible plans

Plans: Premium Vimeo plans start from $7-$75 per month Higher prices mean a higher weekly upload limit and more total account storage.

4. Wistia

Wistia is not as well-known as the others on this list. It has many great features that can help you tip the balance. Wistia’s service is all-arounder and will suit your business’s requirements. Wistia’s analytics tools and traffic management are other great features. These tools are impressive and well worth the cost.

Pros:

  • Video player with high customization
  • Exceptional video analytics

Wistia Pro costs $99 per month and Wistia Advanced costs $99 annually. You will need to contact the sales department to get a quote. It’s up to you to decide how many videos you want.      

5. Brightcove Video Cloud

Brightcove, a well-known platform for video hosting, is something you might not have heard about. Brightcove is a well-known video hosting platform, but you may not have heard of it. The company’s primary customers are marketers and large-scale companies. Video Cloud, their video hosting platform, can be used for both publishing and hosting. Brightcove offers all customers the features they need at a price that is as intimidating as its feature set.

Pros:

  • Unrivaled range of features available to marketers and scaled businesses
  • Integration capabilities with large ecosystems

Brightcove plans start from $199 per month and can go up from there. It is not recommended for beginners, but it appeals to large companies that use its services.

SproutVideo may be a better video service than others, but it is still worth looking at. This position puts it in a favorable place without being over-marketed.

7. DailyMotion

Although DailyMotion may not have a lot of “mindshare”, it is an excellent option that should not be missed. There are some exceptional topics, such as comedy, fashion, and live-streaming gaming.

Pros:

  • Many content subjects seem to be more carefully curated that YouTube
  • This platform has a newslike feeling
