11 Fastest Strategies To Bring Your Open Rates To 60%

Statistics show that email open rates have dropped since March 2022. But did you know there are simple ways to improve your email program? We break down the steps and share data science results, so your email deliverability can improve.

Many of us have noticed open rates dropping to 20%-30% following recent Google algorithm changes (post 28 March 2022). Kobe Digital was able quickly to identify and raise open rates to 50% by using quick fixes and lots of a/b testing (on our 30 email accounts). Continue reading to learn more. Baffled? Confused? Having trouble understanding why your open rates are falling so drastically? Our data science team can help you understand what happened after 28 March 2022 in Google’s algorithm. These pointers are based on our experiences with cold emailing as well as common sense. Don’t worry, cold emailing will be kept alive.

1) Sign up to receive 10-15 newsletters. This will increase your domain authority and help in email warmup. You will need to verify your email address manually after signing up for newsletters.

2) Increase the sending limits if you receive a new email. Start at 6 per week, and then gradually increase to 5-8 per day (every other week). Keep the sending limits at 50 (even if you have an old account or your email is new)

3) We tested new domains and emails with them and we have consistently seen more than 50% open rates after 3 weeks of testing. We recommend that you follow this rule: 1 workspace, 1 domain, and 2-3 emails. You can only have one domain under one account. 

3) Please create your – DKIM and SPF. It is vital. You only need to set up DMARC if you purchased domains from Google. For this, you will need to download the dmarc records generators. If you have completed all of this and your email is still working, here it will be checked. Give 48 hours for this to be completed.

4) We tried both outlook and Zoho emails. Poor deliverability and more chances of spam landing. It can be difficult to register a domain in Outlook.

5) Little things are important, such as a profile photo.

6) Before you send emails, please validate them. There are several email validation tools. Using bouncer is the most cost-effective and efficient. We recommend only sending emails to people whose deliverability is at least 100%.

6) Set random daily sending limits. Keep that variability. This feature will soon be available on our app.

Spintax has been a hot topic recently. Spintax simply refers to spinning syntax. This is a method to create unique variations in an email, article, or contact form message. This can increase deliverability by up to 10%

8) Personalize your emails as much and as personally as you can, such as adding company names and job titles. In the email. Using different AI intro line generators, you can also personalize the first few lines. Hyper is recently joined our platform to offer video personalization.

9) Do not use spam words. Google is more likely to send them to spam folders.

10) The last and most important point is Email Warmup. First, warm up your email. Second, warmup systems are unlikely to improve your deliverability. This is why: Most of the content is gibberish or nonsense. It looks like random words thrown together. Google is smarter than that.

Markov Models make it super easy to detect gibberish texts. This open-source code was used to detect nonsense texts. We think Google has updated its algorithm. In our 2-week testing, we found that new emails performed better when not warmed up for 2 consecutive weeks than those with a warmup.

11) If you have tried everything and given substantial time for improvement, but still are not seeing an improvement in open rates it is time to purchase new domains and emails or change your sales outreach tools.

If not handled well, cold emails will continue to be more difficult to find their way into inboxes. Relevance and relevance are the most important aspects of your message.
