Take a look at your workspace. Have you ever taken a moment to think about the things that you don’t like? The pen can be replaced, but what about your favorite pen model? What pen would be complete without it? Is there an item in your office you would consider irreplaceable? It was short and didn’t have any unnecessary stuff when I first considered it. Have To own. It turned out I was wrong. I was wrong. Is it possible to be crazy, or is there support? Let’s look inside my head and see if there are any answers.
A Humidifier/Dehumidifier
Arizona is where I reside. It’s hot. But, it’s dry. They are on fire, but that is not what they want. You may prefer a different feeling to “swampy” if you live in humid or damp areas. Because my eyes aren’t dry, I’m able to work harder and longer. Because I am self-employed, this is very important for me. It is because of this that I believe it is important to extend my vision into my senior years.
A Good Pencil
Palomino Blackwing 602. This is my favorite pencil. It may seem odd to have so many options, but it is important to us. This allows me to quickly draw out a project with less pressure. This reduces my workload, which leads to less fatigue. This all adds up and is very important. I love a mechanical pen if it’s working. Pentel Graph Gear 1000. It features a retractable tip! It feels wonderful in my hand. A pencil? A pencil? Yes.
A Good Pen
If I want to use a pencil properly, it makes sense that I need a high-quality pen. I’ve tried many fountain pens, fancy models, and all sorts of pens. But the one that works best for me is the one that works. Uni-Ball Vision Elite 0.8mm. The tops. The 12-pack costs only $15 and is super reliable, no matter if I’m flying or taking notes. This notebook is my daily companion and includes a Uniball pen. I am at page 161 on the 185 pages, and that is the pen I used in the beginning. Just The pen ran out two pages later. A decent pen is worth the money, I believe.
A notebook
Return to that Notebook Take a second. It is a Leuchtturm1917 Hardback pocket notebook with Complementary Pen Loop I chose the dotted format. It’s amazing. It is paginated and includes a table of contents. Seriously. It is so amazing that I have multiple copies of it in my home that I purchased when they went out of stock. I also have several A5 versions. This is an indispensable tool that you should have in your arsenal.
A Good Chair
I could go on. My favorite chair — I have Designers who need to have the right seating. The majority of our time is spent at our desks. It can make us feel miserable if we aren’t at ease. This time investment is what makes me able to spend money on a decent chair, regardless of where I work. This is a major problem. The chair was so bad that the company owner refused to buy a new one, so I quit my job. It is not cheap, but it has saved me so many times over the years.
The Perfect Bag
Since I was a child, I’ve been looking for the perfect bag. The bag can store my iPad, charger accessories, and any other items I use every day. You can even carry your laptop with you wherever you go. My current favorite is the Tom Bihn Smart Alec It is durable and versatile which I love. However, in hindsight, it should have come with a bright lining. You can use this bag to transport your kids to the mall or carry your laptop around on the go. The one I am most interested in is Peak Design Everyday Backpack However, I’m not ready to pull the trigger yet. But I will one day have the perfect backpack. I swear it is possible.
Headphones
A pair of headphones (or earbuds — they are interchangeable here) can be broken down into three types: exercise, every day and noise cancellation. All must be wireless. My favorite app is Powerbeats When I’m driving or working on my truck. I have a pair of AirPods Because they are so versatile, I use them every day. The Beats Studio Wireless was my first purchase, but they were damaged and could not be replaced. I am looking for one. Bose QuietComfort 35s If funds allow. This combination allows me the freedom to complete any work-related task without worrying about others bugging me.
Pantone Reference
Any kind of formula guide, color bridge, or another type of information can be helpful. Pantone reference It’s a wonderful thing to have. I was challenged when I needed to locate red on a court’s flooring and compare it with vinyl. Have you ever seen it? Pantone Capsure? It’s expensive, but imagine being able to capture the perfect color while on the go. This is the ultimate goal.
Backup Drive (or 12).
I love backing up my work. It’s not something I take seriously. Read the 1,500 words that I wrote on this topic Because that was the one I got into. However, lately, I’ve been having problems with photos and storage space. Saturday was a busy day for me as I shot 30GB of images. My MacBook Air’s hard drive is full. To solve this problem, I have additional drives that I connect via USB. Even though the content can be stored online or on another drive, it is important to keep that hard drive. Backup? Essential.
Surge Protector
I bought a Belkin portable surge protector. It was invented around five years ago, and it is still one of my favorite things. The compact device contains three traditional plugs as well as two USB ports. I discovered that the main plug can turn, but this was not until about a year after I purchased it. This allows the entire assembly to fit into some awkward spaces. What is the point? Find an outlet at the airport to charge your phone and laptop. Is there anyone parking near an outlet? You might ask them if you could plug in your surge protector instead. This will allow you and another person to have more space for charging your stuff. This is pretty cool, right? This thing has made me the hero on many bad flights.
Charging Cable(s).
In case of power outages, it is a good idea to keep charging cables handy. I keep at least one of these items in my bag because I never know what I will need. One example: When I went to a friend’s house, my phone died. Although he had many USB chargers, did he also own a Lightning cable? Nope. It was a wise decision. It was possible to keep my phone alive for another hour. It is convenient to have the right cables for charging all your devices.
Portable charger(s)
You might get anywhere with a surge protector or a charging cable. It’s not enough for me. Either there is no outlet available or I don’t have the ability. I found a good portable charger/battery pack. I have an older version. Mophie Powerstation XXL The brick comes with three or two USB ports for charging your devices. It’s powerful enough to charge my iPhone and one of my children’s phones. I love the portability of this device, even when it isn’t at my house. If I don’t have a charger for my MacBook Air, I will bring the Powerstation along. Instant power
All the Adapters
This is the bag that Tom Bihn gave me. Snake Charmer This bag is my favorite to keep all the adapters I need for travel. It’s useful to have all the adapters I need in one place, as I am not sure what I’ll need. For my compact flash-card-equipped DSLR, an adapter is required. If I wish to connect to an external monitor, an adapter will be required. Whatever the circumstance, I like being prepared so that I always have what I need. I plan to buy a new MacBook Pro shortly so I purchased a lot of USB-C adapters while they were on sale. When I pull the trigger, I have a USB-C-to-USB A adapter, three USB-C to USB-A adapters, and a USB D–C connector. These adapters are always with me, so you can rest assured.
Lotion
Let’s get real. Dry, cracked hands are common. Even though I don’t know much about basic grooming or social standards, I keep some lotion on hand. It is a great idea. It’s not something that I want to do just for dry skin. This section makes me feel like my hands are going to dry from just talking about them. They are! Where is the Aveeno?
Tchotchkes
If someone came to my office, they would not have any trouble finding my interests. My wall is covered in a Captain America shield and six framed comic book prints. A replica of Han Solo’s DL-44 blaster can be found on another wall (behind a photograph of my child, which she gave me on Father’s Day). You will also find several other items. Collectible Batman figures Greg Capullo Family My desk also has the Red Sox brick that bears my family’s name and matches the one at Fenway Park, Boston. These items are part of who I am. Tchotchkes are vital.They are, according to my expert opinion, what distinguishes us from other animals. We would all be empty vessels without them.
