1. Google Ad Creator is now available

Before your team can create ads in Google Web Designer for their clients, Download it

Google Ad Creator is compatible with many operating systems, including Mac, Windows, and Linux. Windows 7 or later is required if using Windows.

OS 10.10 and higher are required for Mac devices.

Once you have installed the display ads maker, you are ready to start creating your first advertisement.

2 Choose from a range of templates or create your own.

Open Google Web Designer. Use a Prebuilt ad template to get started if you’re new to creating display ads.

Google Web Designer offers more than 10 templates you can use for your ad.

Filter templates based on ad type, dimensions, devices, or even industries.

You have the option to choose from different layouts.

What if you want to create a new file? To create a new file, follow these steps:

  • You have the option to choose from a variety of advertisements, including banners, expendables, or interstitials.
  • Give your filename a name
  • Select your preferred save location
  • Add your file dimensions
  • Pick your environment
  • View the animation mode

These steps will enable Google Web Designer to load your document.

After you’ve loaded your template file or blank file, it’s time for you to begin building your ad.

3. Customize your workspace

In most cases, however, you will need an update to your workspace before you can start. It is also useful when you need to coordinate among members of your team.

4. Create your color scheme

These steps will allow you to add text to your design.

  • See the sidebar menu
  • Choose the Text tool represented with a “T”.
  • Add a box of text to your ad

Next, add text.

After you have edited your text field, you can change the text’s position, size, color, and format. Highlight your text with your cursor, then click on the menu to open the menu.

Text can be edited using the Properties menu.

The Properties menu allows you to make further edits to your text.

By activating the link icon, you can modify the scale, translation, and size of your copy. This will stop the field from stretching.

You also have the option to modify the text field in your properties menu by other means:

  • A border can be added to alter the color, size, and style of
  • Margin should be added.
  • Modify fill, transparency, or opacity

After you’re satisfied, you can add additional creative elements like images.

6. Add your images

You may be able to use images in your design. The Google Ad Creator makes it simple to add images and galleries to your ad.

Make an image gallery for your ad by following these steps

  • Go to the Components menu
  • Select the Gallery folder
  • Drag and drop your gallery

Next, upload your photos:

  • Select your gallery
  • Click the Properties menu
  • Scroll down the Carousel Gallery
  • Click the image icon
  • Upload files to your computer or via URL

After you add your images to your gallery, it is a good idea to resize and align them before you view them.

7. Choose your interactions

Interactive ads can be included in Google’s advertising builder. While your team may not use all these interactions, they can help give your ad a competitive edge.

If you have an online store, an interactive button can be added to show a product picture.

Interactive elements can be added to any website in any way that you wish. These are the steps to follow.

  • Go to the Components menu
  • Click the Interaction menu
  • Select your interactive element
  • Drag it onto your ad

Depending on your interactive elements, you may need layers to animate the ad. With Google Ad Creator, you can manage and animate your ads.

These steps will allow you to animate your advertisement:

  • Use the plus sign to access the Timeline menu
  • Select the slide or layer that you wish to use
  • Add your animation to the ad design
  • To view the animation, click on the Play button in the Timeline menu

The repeat button can be used to rewind the animation several times. This allows you to have a team review the animation and make changes.

8. View your ad

You can have your team preview your ad by changing the colors and copy. This allows you to identify and fix design issues early.

Preview your ad quickly with Google Web Designer. 

  • Choose the dropdown menu to preview
  • Choose your favorite browser
  • Check out your ad

Your team can easily test interactive features in an advertisement using the preview mode. This allows your business to launch an ad that delivers.

9. Post your ad

Ready to launch an ad campaign? Use Google Ad Creator to make it easy. These steps are:

  • Tap “Publish”
  • Choose where you would like to upload your file.
  • View the summary of your file
  • Click on Publish

After your ad is published, you can upload it to your Google Ads campaign
