If you have a product or service that has a limited trial period, trial expiration emails will be necessary. Not all users will be eligible for these emails simply because their trial is over or about to end. In the post-on-trial expiration emails, we explored a better way to reach trial users.
Convert trial customers to paying customers
Seq. 8: Re-engage Expired Trials
Description: If the trial ends, or the user refuses to change, manually re-engage them. Send an automated re-engagement offer to the user if they don’t respond to your emails or calls.
Seq. 9: Increased adoption of premium features
To help customers upgrade to premium features, meet them and send an email sequence. The goal is to increase product adoption and usage.
Seq. 10: Inform users about a newly activated feature.
Send an email to educate users about the feature they are activating or using. This will increase feature adoption. The goal is to increase product feature adoption and usage.
Seq. 11: Revive dead product leads.
Send an inquiry if a product lead has been inactive for more than 60 days.
Seq. 12: Prevent customers who are not active from churning.
Send an email to a customer if they aren’t online for 10 days or more. Include the question, “Do you need help?” If they don’t respond to your email, you can send them Facebook ads that will give them success stories about how to activate them. The goal is to stop churn.
Seq. 13: Receive feedback from a customer who has recently been churned.
Ask customers who have recently been churned for feedback to improve product and customer experience. It is important to understand what the churning moment is.
Customers who cancel their subscriptions do not churn until they are done. Customers do not churn after the expiration of their subscription period. At that point, they stop renewing because they have prepaid for the previous period. If they cancel, you still have a chance of winning them back.
It is essential to get feedback from customers who have recently canceled. This will allow you to accomplish the following goals: Prevent churn and get feedback.

To prevent churn, follow up on any failed payments. When a subscription is a past due, add the tag Payment Failed and then remove it when the subscription becomes active again. Goal: To prevent churn.
