This article will explain the differences between GetResponse (a popular email marketing service) and Aweber (a lesser-known one). You must know how each service works if you want to engage your audience in a more meaningful way.

GetResponse vs AWeber: An Introduction

Although they share the same platform, GetResponse & Aweber are entirely different. GetResponse, a web-based email marketing platform that creates high-quality emails for your target audience, uses an open-source autoresponder.

It integrates with great tools like Google Analytics and WordPress, making it easy to connect with your audience seamlessly without worrying about sending too many emails or not receiving enough replies.

AWeber’s goal is not to deliver high-quality content in customers’ inboxes, but also to establish relationships with their target audience at every stage of the process. AWeber provides a platform that allows customers to interact with them in real-time and allows them to create better email campaigns. This will help increase sales.

AWeber vs GetResponse: Why You Should Use Both?

GetResponse, an excellent tool, does exactly what it claims – sends quality emails to each subscriber’s inbox every day without any problems. It is a great service if you are looking for an autoresponder that does everything.

AWeber is very similar to GetResponse, in that it uses the same platform as GetResponse but has its own set of tools and features. Aweber offers more options to engage your audience than GetResponse, and you have access to many more features than their competitors.

Aweber is powered by WordPress and Google Analytics. This allows you to easily integrate your email into any blog or website, making it easier to target different audiences.

It offers email marketing services in Miami as well as a premium service called “unified”. This allows you to pay an additional fee for all tools such as lead generation campaigns and automatic tracking, all from one dashboard.

GetResponse or AWeber? What are their pricing models?

The pricing structure for GetResponse is simple. You pay a monthly fee that is based on how many emails you send each day. If you want your emails to be sent every day, you will need to pay $72 per year at $17 per month.

AWeber is a better option than GetResponse for occasional services that are limited in the number of emails sent. Although its pricing model may be slightly different, it is still affordable for small business owners who want their subscribers to receive new offers and information about their preferred subjects every day. The cost ranges from $12 to $15 per month depending on the plan, and $8 if you pay annually.

The pricing structure of Aweber can be summarized in two words: Standard vs Premium. AWeber’s most expensive plan costs $9 per month. Their cheapest option can cost as low as $2.50 per month depending on your volume (it also depends on if you have one email campaign).

It should be noted, however, that automatic tracking is not possible with this plan. Users will need to manually track each email.

If you are serious about marketing and would like to open a new page using Aweber’s customization tools, the prices start to approach GetResponse at $24/month for a single person (which will mean each member of staff will be invoiced separately), or $16.50 if you choose to have six members of staff.

These numbers should not scare you – AWeber offers up to 2000 subscribers. This is more than a competitor’s plan which allows every user access regardless of how many emails they send out each day.

GetResponse vs AWeber: Customization

AWeber’s customization tools are very comprehensive. You can set your email campaigns on autopilot by selecting the template that best suits you.

There are many categories for the templates, such as Newsletters, Emails Like These (which allow users to create their signature), Blogs and Digital Subscriptions like Spotify Unlimited or Kindle Unlimited, and Business Tools like Invoicing. Some of the templates are a bit bland to me. But if you like them you can keep them.

GetResponse’s customization options are also extensive. However, it is more difficult to get going because you must first create an account before you can use the features of the tool. (It will be easier in the future).

This means that GetResponse users can connect campaigns more easily to each other than AWeber. AWeber doesn’t allow people to connect different templates or accounts which could confuse newbies.

This feature is available without a paid subscription. If your email list grows beyond the capacity of your account, it will be automatically moved to a separate account that you can access via the GetResponse dashboard.

GetResponse vs AWeber: Automation Builder

AWeber offers a range of automation tools to automate your email campaigns. These tools can be accessed from the AWeber dashboard. These tools include:

  • The Power Editor allows you to create emails using drag-and-drop. It also lets users segment their lists and track which ones are performing best (e.g., should they send more or fewer newsletters).
  • A/B testing is my favorite feature because it allows me to test different versions of the same email campaign without having to write any code. This allows me to save time and avoid making mistakes by writing my code. It also allows me to test changes to messaging that could affect how people respond. This is what I do for nearly every email campaign that I send.
  • Quick Builder allows you to create custom autoresponders using drag-and-drop technology. GetResponse has many more features, but we’ll be covering these later.

GetResponse has its automation platform, and it’s completely free! Here are some features I use:

  • Drag-and-drop editor The Editor allows you to insert images, text, and graphics into your emails. You can also add links or PDF files. This Editor will enable you to copy and paste emails from one campaign into another editor for sending them as a response to another recipient.
  • You can use the scheduling tools to automate your autoresponders. There are many options, but you need to choose when you want them to be sent (daily or weekly). You can select between 1-5 emails and choose from different autoresponders, ranging from “We’re sorry” to “Thank you for signing up!” ‘.
  • A/B Testing – These are not free features but they’re worth looking into if you have many subscribers. GetResponse’s A/B testing software allows me to test different components of my campaigns such as text length, image sizes, and colors. This allows me to see how changes to my campaigns impact conversion rates and the revenue I make. GetResponse offers A/B testing tools so that you don’t need to create them (although this is possible if desired).
  • Get Response also offers an iOS app that makes it easy to add new subscribers. These are some screenshots of how this app works. These apps are great for making life easier. However, you will need to purchase credits to make them work on your iPhone.

GetResponse vs AWeber: Reporting & Statistics Tools

Although AWeber’s reporting tools may not be as robust as GetResponse’s, AWeber has its reporting tools. These tools are very basic and allow you to see stats about your campaign performance (such as total subscriber number, open rate, etc.). You can get more detailed data by signing up for a free trial of MixPanel or Google Analytics.

GetResponse is more than AWeber. It offers drip emails that allow you to send out multiple messages to your subscribers, multiple email autoresponders, and many other features.

GetResponse or AWeber: Email Templates and Themes

In my opinion, this is where AWeber and MailChimp differ greatly. AWeber doesn’t offer themes, so it won’t be a problem if you only send one email template per month.

GetResponse offers a wide range of pre-made templates. These include welcome emails, pre-made campaigns (such as those that are losing subscribers or converting during their trial period), and even sales alerts. These emails can be sent automatically through your autoresponder, but I recommend sending them manually as it is more effective.

You can personalize your emails by using themes. Images/videos, etc. will make them look different in the subscriber’s inbox.

GetResponse allows you to select from various templates that will simplify your email-sending experience.

GetResponse and AWeber: Marketing Automation.

AWeber does not have as many marketing automation features as GetResponse. You can set up survey pop-ups and welcome emails to be sent at specific times with the autoresponder service you have signed up for.

Both services offer automatic web push notifications. These notifications allow you to select whether they will be delivered only to your website (and therefore won’t appear within other email clients), or if they’ll appear within the subscriber’s inboxes.

GetResponse offers many other marketing options for your subscribers. These include the web push notification and an opt-in form that you email directly to them after they open one of your emails.

If they are interested in particular products or services, this allows them to sign-up for more information. AWeber doesn’t offer this feature in their service yet, but they do support email digests (which work like newsletters).

GetResponse allows you to automatically send welcome emails to subscribers who have subscribed via the autoresponder.

How does segmentation work?

GetResponse allows you to create different email groups that will allow you to send out your emails as a series.

If you have salespeople who regularly send out newsletters about new products, these can be grouped with all their relevant contacts and sent to one group. When it is time to send the newsletter, they will use the autoresponder service included with GetResponse.

AWeber does not offer segmentation. This means that once someone unsubscribes from an email list, which is very rare, they will remain in the same group/folder as they were before they were unsubscribed. Or they can be deleted.

GetResponse can help you segment by sending out emails according to which groups your subscribers are in.

This will prevent data loss and allow you to contact people you don’t know. You can also ask them about their progress through an automated follow-up system that monthly emails asking questions regarding certain topics.
