We mentioned capital raising. You need to write an executive summary that grabs investors’ attention.

This section should give a summary of the contents. This section includes company information, market analysis, as well as other details. Your goal is to keep the reader engaged and curious.

This section should be listed first. It should be listed first. Once you’ve completed the sections below, however, you will not be able to determine what information you should include.

02 Description of the company

The company description is the most important thing you need to write.

Begin by introducing yourself and your founders.

Discuss the current stage of your company and past achievements. This could be partnering with industry professionals or offering specialized products.

The plans of your business should be documented with goals and action plans. Tell potential investors and stakeholders how you plan to expand the business.

03 Products and services

Here you will describe in detail your future and current products and services. Be prepared to answer any questions they might ask.

You can still develop your idea and include a proof of concept (POC) to explain where you are. Add images and diagrams to explain the product’s lifecycle.

This section will contain your pricing plan. This section should contain the cost of materials/labor as well as the expected profit for each unit.

04. Market analysis

This section is the longest part of the business plan template. This section is long. Do market research and conclude. Next, you will need to write down the relevant findings.

  • Background on the industry: Give a brief overview of the industry your company is involved in. You could answer questions like “What is the current industry state?” Or “How can it improve?” Discuss the main business players and their offerings.
  • Analyze your competitors. This will help you identify the strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for each company.
  • Barriers to entry. Describe the barriers to entry. Specific equipment requirements. Patent requirements.
  • Your target audience: This section provides details about your market. To get valuable insights into your ideal customer’s needs, you can include buyers.
  • Evaluate your company: Use the following areas to evaluate your business. What’s the market demand for your product/service? How can you reach your target audience?

05. Operations and marketing plan

This section will show you how to use your business idea to sell and deliver products to customers.

Create your brand identity.

After you have established your brand, you can now explain your advertising strategy and budget. This includes creating a professional website to display and sell your products.

You should plan this. This will help you plan how to fulfill orders and manage orders.

06. Management and Organization

Tell your readers how you see your business organized and who your key stakeholders are.

All stakeholders are the board of directors, advisors, and shareholders. It is important to share how your venture will look together with them all.

Display this information visually by creating a layout that is easy to understand for your stakeholders. Next, you’ll need to explain the key roles of each player in your illustration.

07. Financial projections

It is crucial to know how your business will survive financial difficulties. This is for both your benefit as well as that of potential investors.

Answer the following questions:

  • How much will you need to invest at the beginning?
  • How much funding do you require from investors?
  • How long does it take to make a profit?
  • How much profit can you anticipate making in the next 12 months? or 2 years? or 5 years?

It is also important to understand how to manage your finances. The guide for small-business accounting will show you how.

08. Appendices
